
Stop Waiting for Your Oven to Heat Up
Nobody likes standing around waiting for a commercial oven to preheat. It’s a waste of time, a waste of energy, and honestly, a pain when you’ve got a line of customers out the door. That’s why we build our infrared replacement bulbs the way we do. Instead of heating up all the air in the oven first, these lamps use shortwave radiation to shoot heat directly into the food. It’s almost instant. We’re talking seconds, not minutes. The Power Stuff Most of our tubes are built for high wattage because that’s how you get that rapid heat. If you go with a higher voltage—like 230V or 400V—you’re essentially packing more power into every millimeter of the quartz tube. It’s how a small 300mm tube can pump out thousands of watts. You get a really concentrated hit of heat right where you need it. Just a heads-up: these things pull a lot of power. Make sure your wiring and breakers can handle the load, or you’re looking at a burnout. Quartz, Halogen, and the “Secret Sauce” Inside the lamp, we use a tungsten filament housed in high-purity quartz glass. Why quartz? Because it can handle the shock of going from cold to scorching hot without cracking. We also add a halogen gas mix inside. This keeps the filament from wearing out too fast by basically recycling the tungsten back onto the wire. It keeps the light steady and makes the bulb last much longer. Some of our versions even have a special coating to focus the heat exactly on your food, so you aren’t wasting energy heating the walls of the oven. Getting Them Installed These are designed to be simple drop-in replacements. We use standard connectors like R7s or SK15, so you can just wire them up without having to rip apart your oven chassis. One thing to watch out for: the length. It has to be exact. If it’s a hair too long, it won’t fit in the socket. Too short, and you’re losing heating power. Just double-check your current lamp’s size and voltage before you order, and you’ll be good to go.
