Here’s the thing about physics: if you swap a factory lamp for a generic one and the wattage is even slightly off, you’ve changed the infrared wavelength. Even a tiny 5% difference forces your operators to start messing with oven timers and temperatures. That’s how you end up with “hot spots.” We spec our tubes to hit the exact voltage and wattage the Blomax 6 expects. This means the energy hitting that PET preform is exactly what it should be. No guessing. No tweaking.

We use high-purity quartz for these shortwave infrared lamps. Plus, we added specific coatings so the heat actually goes into the preform instead of just warming up the oven walls. A quick tip from the shop floor
High-wattage lamps are great because they give you the heat density you need for fast cycle times. But there’s a catch. Running these lamps at 100% puts a lot of stress on your oven’s cooling fans. If your ventilation is clogged or acting up, these tubes are going to burn out way faster than they should. Keep that airflow clear, and your lamps will last much longer. When your lamps actually match your machine, the guesswork disappears. You can stop fiddling with settings and just hit your production targets.
