The Power Behind the Speed
Here’s the thing about steam—you need it in short bursts, and you need it fast. So we spec’d the tube to ramp up almost instantly. To get that kind of power from a small footprint, we went with a 400V high-voltage supply. All that wattage gets focused into a short, 300mm quartz tube. That means you get serious heat density without needing a giant machine bay. And the payoff? Pure speed. The emitter hits target temperature in a flash, letting the control system trigger steam in quick, precise cycles. But wait—there’s a trade-off. That much power packed into a small space means the oven’s cooling has to be up to the task. If the chamber can’t shed the excess heat, the electronics and the emitter itself will run hotter than they’re meant to.
Built to Last, Built to Fit
Inside, we use a halogen-filled, shortwave IR design inside a quartz envelope. The halogen chemistry keeps the filament stable, so the output stays consistent over the life of the tube. We also engineered the interior coating to focus the IR spectrum where it matters most for steam heating. Less wasted visible light, more efficient energy transfer. Installation is straightforward, too. The R7s connector gives you an industrial-grade termination that’s quick to wire and holds securely. And for control integration, the design works smoothly with the oven’s system, giving you precise temperature regulation. If you need a different mounting approach, the SK15 base option is there when the footprint demands it.
