If you’ve got a tiny powder room (under 4m²), a 400W to 600W shortwave lamp is plenty. It hits you with that instant warmth the second you flick the switch. You don’t need anything bigger. For a medium-sized space (4m² to 8m²), look at 800W to 1200W. But once you hit those big master baths over 10m², a single lamp is a mistake. You’ll end up with one scorching “hot spot” right under the light while your toes are still freezing. Instead, try wiring up two 600W units and staggering them across the ceiling.
