If you’re running SACMI rotary blow molding machines, you know they don’t exactly move slowly. They’re high-frequency beasts. Because they move so fast, your infrared radiators can’t afford to “warm up” or linger. They need to hit operating temperature basically the second you flip the switch. That’s why we built our Sidel-compatible lamps the way we did. We wanted to kill the lag. The secret is in the build. We used a high-density tungsten filament and a specific halogen cycle. In plain English? It means the lamp hits peak wattage instantly. There’s no drifting or waiting around. When these are wired into your SACMI system, the shortwave radiation punches straight into the PET preform. Instead of wasting heat on the oven walls, the energy goes exactly where it needs to be: into the plastic. No headaches with installation. We made these as drop-in replacements. We matched the voltage and wattage to the OEM specs, so you can just swap them out. You won’t be spending your afternoon rewiring control panels. We also used toughened quartz glass. Why? Because rotary machines vibrate. A lot. If the glass isn’t built to handle that constant shaking, the tube will just crack at the seal. Ours don’t. The honest truth about lifespan. Here is the trade-off: to get that lightning-fast start-up, we have to run the lamp hotter. That’s what gives you the heat density needed for high-speed blowing, but it does put more stress on the filament. You get the speed, but you’ve got to keep an eye on your power cycles. If your voltage is jumping all over the place, you’ll burn through your tubes way faster. Keep your power supply steady, and you’ll get the most life out of them. At the end of the day, we focused on one thing: getting that preform to the right temperature in the smallest window possible. No lag. No wasted energy. Just heat.
